How Robotics Courses Cover All Aspects of STEM

One of the most prominent education initiatives today is that of STEM. STEM seeks to emphasize the increasingly important subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Courses that cover all four areas of STEM are highly valuable. Robotics not only includes subject matter that covers all aspects of STEM, it is fun, engaging, and fascinating for students.

Since its first introduction to the world, the concept of robotics has fascinated both adults and children alike. This year, almost 2,000 students attended the USC Viterbi Robotics Open House, according to USC Viterbi. Events such as these show students how courses in robotics make use of the science behind robotic movement, the technology needed to bring creations to life, the engineering required to bring imagination to reality, and the math inherent in all aspects of the robotics process.

Taking a course in robotics can inspire students to look towards careers in the field. Jobs in the field of robotics include titles such as robotics engineer, software developer, technician, and more, according to Grad School Hub.

Until these courses become standard in the classroom, summer courses are a great way for kids to have fun while becoming familiar with STEM subjects.
